Oliver Ring is a cellist based in Logan Square, Chicago. He teaches cello lessons and plays in a string trio.
Oliver grew up in Alexandria, Virginia, playing cello in his school orchestras and in the DC Youth Orchestra Program. In high school he returned to his former elementary and middle schools to assist in music and orchestra classrooms.
He received his Bachelor of Arts from William and Mary in 2020 with a major in anthropology and a minor in music. While there, he played cello in the William and Mary Symphony Orchestra and in a rock band with friends. In 2021 Oliver joined the Chamber Music Program at the University of Chicago, where he played with a string quartet for two years. He continues to perform solo and in ensembles in Chicago.
Oliver is an enthusiastic musician who also plays the piano, guitar, ukulele, and oboe.
Oliver offers cello lessons at the following rates:
30 minute lesson – $20
45 minute lesson – $30
60 minute lesson – $40
